Summer Fayre

Our PTA Summer Fayre was once again a great success and we are delighted to announce that together we made over £3,200!

As always it was a lovely community event and after a rather wet week we were very lucky with the weather! A big thank you to the PTA and to everyone who helped in the run up to the event and on the day; to all the teachers, the Year 5 choir, Year 3 dancers and our Karate club who performed in the arena; to all the stallholders and parent helpers and to everyone who came to enjoy the event. Your support really did make the Fayre a huge success. We were delighted to also welcome Dorset Police, the RNLI, the Little Sewing Table, Funtastic Club and Glitter Girls.

Well done to Year 6 who created their own stalls and worked hard on the day raising a fantastic £391 for the PTA, and thank you to the Year 5 Sports Ambassadors for working hard running the Tri Golf stall. Well done also to Year 4  pupils Amelia and Alice for raising £81.80 on their stall in aid of Cafod. Thank you to all the individual classes for working so hard on their stalls and raising valuable funds for the PTA.

Thank you to everyone who entered our first ever Bake Off at the Summer Fayre! Well done to Anna, Jasmine, Jess, Harry, Erin, Maria, Samir, Seth and Ralphie for making such an amazing effort baking their delicious cakes. Everyone really did enjoy tasting the cakes and voting for their favourite. Well done to Samir for winning the Bake Off! Pictures of all of the cakes will be on our website. As well as it being a lovely community event, an impressive £356 was raised which goes towards making a difference to enrich our children’s school experience.

Christmas Fayre

Thank you to everyone who came along to support our PTA Christmas Fayre – it was a great success! It was a great family event with a magical Santa’s Grotto which was a real hit with the kids, and a Secret Santa Room where children could secretly buy and wrap a present for their loved ones – the children really loved this too! We had a great selection of gift and craft stalls including Tropic Skincare, The Book People, Flamingo Paperie cards, designer perfume with Sorelle, hand knitted items from Crafty Wools, handmade bows with Emily Lockyer and locally made honey from beekeeper Johanna Mills. We had tombolas, homemade cakes, biscuit decorating, glitter tattoos with Sparkle Art Face Painting and Christmas garlands with Ericka Golding. The playground was filled with real Nordmann Fir Christmas trees thanks to Christmas Trees Direct and we served refreshments all evening thanks to generous donations from Papa John’s Pizza in Christchurch, Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Warburtons.

Our Christmas raffle was a huge success and raffle winners were delighted with their prizes. Raffle prizes were very kindly donated by The Jetty; Hoburne Brasserie 1912 restaurant, Tropic Skincare, Longdown Activity Farm, Farmer Palmer’s, the Regent Centre, Swanage Railway, BH Live, Lifestyle Active, Moors Valley, Beauty Rediscovered, Monkey Madness, Beales and Marks and Spencer.

Thank you to our very hardworking PTA who devoted a lot of their time to make this a fantastic event; to our St Joseph’s families who donated generously, gave their time to work with the children and helped on the night; and to the children who worked hard making decorations for the event. Thanks also to Stewarts Garden Centre and John Cribb for donating decorations and lights.

We raised an amazing £1,672 which will be used to enrich our children’s school journey. We hope you enjoy the pictures of our event.

Book Fair

Thank you to all who helped with the Book Fair. The event was a great success and everyone enjoyed choosing their books from The Book People bookcases. We raised over £937 from the sale which has earned the school over £234 in commission to spend on our school library.
