Celebrating Achievements
At St Joseph’s, we celebrate children's achievements, both inside and outside of school, and we make sure that all children are congratulated when they live out our school mission statement,
‘We are All God’s children and will live, love, work and serve as Jesus taught us’.
CELEBRATION ASSEMBLIES
Every Friday, each class teacher chooses two Achievers from their class. These are children who have lived out the school mission statement. During our Friday Celebration Assembly, Achievers are invited to share with the whole school, why they have been chosen and what they have achieved. Each child receives a certificate.
St JosEPH’s BOOK OF LEARNING
Our St Joseph’s Book of Learning is used to celebrate excellence throughout the school.
When class teachers recognise a child has completed a piece of really excellent work, they send them to Ms Rippon or Mr Curran to share and explain their learning. Their name and photograph are then entered into our St Joseph’s Book of Learning. Each page is filled with examples of the excellent learning that has been achieved by our pupils so far.
ACHIEVEMENT POSTCARDS
Each week, Class Teachers send home a postcard to two pupils in their class.
These postcards celebrate and recognise the hard work the child has undertaken that week and allow their families to recognise their achievements in school.
HOT CHOCOLATE FRIDAYS
Each Friday, one child from each class joins Ms Rippon or Mr Curran for hot chocolate and a biscuit in the meeting room.
