St Joseph's school enjoys very close links with our Parish church. Each month (first Sunday in the month) the children are actively encouraged to attend the Family Mass at St Josephs Purewell. Staff are actively involved as readers, musicians and leading the Children's Liturgy.

Each term the school leads the family Mass with our children delivering the readings and prayers of intercession as well as choosing the hymns.

Each term Years 3-6 attend and lead the Wednesday weekday Mass at St Josephs.

Father Paul and Deacon Richard are regular visitors to the school and lead school Mass at the start and end of each term, Holy Days of Obligation and Feast days as well as special services during Lent and Advent. They are also regularly invited to RE lessons to answer the children's questions about their faith.

Each December the children sing for Parishioners at the Parish Christmas lunch. We were very fortunate to be joined by Mrs Cooper on piano this year and also our new Headteacher Mr Doherty came with his violin!
