Year 1 2020-2021
Creation Hunt
Year 1 have been on a creation hunt, making art through different shapes, drawing and labelling parts of the body. They had lots of fun with Harold the giraffe and Katie from Life Education!
The Great Outdoors
Inspired by our new topic, 'The Great Outdoors', Year 1 have been using our natural resources outside to create artistic patterns and pictures using paint! We used sticks, flowers, leaves, pinecones and stones to create our pictures! In Literacy, we have also been role playing the story of 'Where The Wild Things Are!' We have been having a 'wild rumpus' in class!
Measuring Weight
Year 1 have been measuring the weight of different classroom objects using cubes in their maths! Some of Year 1 also did their First Aid training after school and learned how to bandage up a wound, and dial 999 in an emergency!
