St Joseph's Sports Enrichment Week

The week beginning Monday 21st June, will be a Sports Enrichment Week at St Joseph’s.  This is in line with the National School Sports Week. The children will be taking part in a range of sports, learning new skills and keeping active. We will be having an athlete mentor visit as well as building in opportunities to learn about sports across other curriculum areas.

As many activities will take place outside and involve keeping active, please can children wear their school PE kits all week. A reminder that this is a plain white t-shirt and navy or black shorts/ tracksuit bottoms and trainers or plimsolls. School jumpers or navy sweatshirts can be worn – not colourful hoodies. We have noticed some children wearing other sports clothes for PE lessons, but now that shops are open, all children should have the correct PE kit for the summer term.

On Tuesday 22nd June, we will be holding our own in-house sports festival for the children to compete in house teams, adhering to bubbles. Please can your child wear a t-shirt the colour of their house team, as below, with their PE shorts on this day. We will send out Parentmail reminders nearer the time.

We will not be inviting parents to attend a Sports Day this year as there is still a lot of uncertainty around restrictions easing but we know that the children will have a wonderful week.
